Questions about Notifii

Expand All
Notifii is a web-based and app-based package management software. Some people call it package logging or package tracking or package notification software. Notifii allows you to log packages in/out so that you always know what packages were received at your facility (i.e., your mailroom, your leasing office, etc.) and which packages were picked up by the end-recipient (i.e., your property residents, your school students, your company employees, etc.). Notifii automatically alerts the end-recipient via email and/or text message to let him know his package has arrived and is ready to be picked up.

Notifii is designed to be used by anyone that receives packages at a central location for redistribution to end-recipients.

Specifically, Notifii APT is designed for apartment communities, multi-family properties, residential buildings/towers, condominium/homeowner associations, and student housing properties. Notifii EDU is designed for college/university mailrooms and residence hall mailrooms/service desks. Notifii INC is designed for corporate mailrooms.

Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, we developed the different versions to better serve the needs of each specific business type.
Notifii Track is free during the 30-day trial period. After that, the cost will depend on your account version and price tier. For specific prices, please click on the appropriate link: Notifii Track for apartments and student housing, Notifii Track for colleges and universities, Notifii Track for enterprise and corporate mailrooms. If you need to purchase equipment, that will be a one-time cost. Your equipment cost depends on many factors (what equipment you already have, how you plan to use Notifii and the specific equipment needed for your scenario). See equipment FAQs below for ballpark costs, or contact us for a specific price quote.
Yes. We have a totally-free 30-day trial. That means if you need to borrow some equipment to use during the trial period, we will loan them to you at no cost. The trial costs you absolutely nothing!
No. To make it absolutely risk-free for you, you sign up for a free trial account with no credit card information.
Near the end of your trial period, we will contact you to see if you would like to continue or not. We can set up a recurring monthly charge to your credit card, or we can invoice you in 3-month or 6-month increments. Invoices are payable via company check within 30 days. There are no long term contracts.
Our software is web-based (cloud-based). There is nothing for you to download or install. You just use our software through your web browser.
Yes, we have an iPad app. Any iPad or iPad Mini with a rear camera and iOS 6+ will work. We also have an Android tablet app.

Questions about account features and functionality

It depends on your software. Notifii has integrations with Yardi Voyager, RealPage OneSite, MRI, Entrata (formerly Property Solutions), and AMSI eSite. We also have public APIs if you wish to develop custom integrations. Please contact us for additional information.
No, one Notifii EDU account can accommodate multiple mailrooms.
Yes, each residential property should have a separate Notifii APT account.
Yes, just upload whatever information you have now. You can always fill in the blanks later on.
Yes, you can create user accounts for other members of your staff. We have several types of staff accounts, each with differing access privileges.
Yes. If you have multiple mailrooms or multiple computers, you can have multiple users logged in concurrently.
Yes, you can customize all aspects of the package notification messages.
Each individual person in the database can opt-out of receiving emails and/or text messages.
Yes. If your data is available in Excel or CSV format, you can import that into your Notifii account. We will provide instructions with data requirements and format requirements.
We do not charge you any additional fees for sending package notifications via text-messages.
Package tags are printed labels that you put on the package. Printing them is optional, but there are some benefits:
  • The package tags serve as a visual indication to your staff that a package has been logged into Notifii. Any package without the tag has not yet been logged into Notifii.
  • You can customize what information gets printed on the tag. You can print certain information (like recipient name or mailbox number) in big font for easier shelving/organization or retrieval. If you handwrite information on the package with a marker, the tags can replace that step.
Yes, we have many reporting tools available. You can get reports that show daily package counts, monthly package counts, package activity by hour and day, speed of pickup, age of pending packages, etc.
Yes, in fact, package reminders are automatically sent out to recipients. The timing and frequency of those automated reminders is a simple account-wide setting.
When logging packages in via the iPad/Android app, you will have the option to take up to three pictures of the package (example uses: take a picture of the shipping label to show additional package details, take a picture of the box to show it was damaged, etc). Any pictures you take will be embedded in the email notification, linked in the text message notification, and stored in our database for future reference. When logging a package out, you can also take up to three pictures (example uses: take a picture of someone’s driver license as additional verification, take a picture of a package being delivered to a specific location, etc.).

Questions about equipment

Notifii will work on any modern computer with any operating system (Windows, Mac OS, Chrome OS). Any web browser will work. We recommend that you get the latest web browser versions, but at a minimum, we do require Internet Explorer 8+, Chrome 8+, Firefox 10+, and Safari 3+.
If you plan to use Notifii on a computer, the most basic setup is your existing computer with a USB barcode scanner plugged in. If you plan to use an iPad, the iPad would be the only equipment you need.

If you want to print package tags (optional), you will need a thermal label printer.

If you want to capture an esignature proof of pickup (optional), you will need a signature pad or touchscreen device.

If you want to capture a card-swipe proof of pickup (optional, great for college/university environments), you will need a magnetic stripe card reader.

You can also just use an iPad and do all the logging from the iPad. In that scenario, you won't need any equipment for the computer.

Any USB barcode scanner will work. New barcode scanners can be purchased from Amazon for about $35-$40. The barcode scanner plugs into your computer via USB. It should work automatically without needing any additional software.

We recommend the DYMO 450 Turbo thermal label printer for most users. You can buy one from Amazon or a local office supply store for $80-$100. This model prints a maximum label size of 2.25 inches by 4 inches.

If you need to print larger labels or want a heavy-duty model, we recommend the Zebra GK420d. This model cost about $350-$375 and can print a maximum label size of 4 inches by 6 inches.

If you already have another brand/model label printer, that should work fine as well.

For the DYMO 450 printer, you will need DYMO 30256 compatible labels. These labels cost about $3.00 per roll of 300 labels, plus shipping.

For the Zebra, any 1" core direct thermal labels will work. The Zebra-compatible labels do not have numerical part numbers, just choose a size that meets your needs (we support 4"x3", 4"x4", 4"x6").

Our software only supports the Scriptel ST1501 signature pad. It cost about $200 plus shipping. The ST1501 plugs into your computer via USB. It should work automatically without needing any additional software.
We recommend an iPad or iPad Mini, but any iOS or Android tablet with a minimum 5 MP autofocus rear camera will work.
We recommend the Magtek 21040145 card reader, but any magnetic stripe card reader you already have should work as well. The recommended model costs about $65. The card reader plugs into your computer via USB. It should work automatically without needing any additional software.
For the 30 day free trial, we can loan you any equipment you need. After the trial, you can pay for the loan equipment and keep it, or return the loan equipment back to us and buy from your preferred vendors.

Questions about data security and ownership

Expand All
We take website security and data security very seriously. All account pages are encrypted via SSL protocols. All users must have a valid username/password to log into Notifii.
We do not use your recipient information for any purpose other than to do the package alerts.
We own our software. You own your data (recipient data and package data).
We keep your data indefinitely unless you specifically request otherwise.
